This piece consists of photos of “ Unidentified “ African Americans from the 50’s and 60’s” .However, everyone is known to someone. So I ask “ Am I unidentified because YOU don’t know me ? Because you have never heard my laugh or seen my face ?” The answer is No. This piece asks you to look at them and see you. Through your eyes and through someone else’s eyes. This piece gives you the opportunity to say thank you. I am here because of you and I may never know you.
